Test an IP Address

You can test connectivity to a host name or an IP address that belongs to the network where your edge device resides by navigating to DeviceHub > Utilities and referring to the Test IP Address section.

Test IP Address section
To test connectivity:
- Navigate to DeviceHub > Utilities.
- From the Test IP Address section of the Utilities pane, enter a host name or an IP address to test in the Hostname or IP field.
- In the Count field, enter the number to packets to send (the default is 4).
- In the Timeout field, enter the response timeout in seconds (the default is 60).
- Click Test Address. If the selected IP address is accessible, the testing stats per packet show at the bottom of the Test IP Address section.

If the selected IP address is not accessible, only the initial ping shows:

To stop the process before all of the transmitted packets are either received or timed out, click Cancel.
