In Manufacturing Connect Edge, after creating an activation request, you will switch back to Manufacturing Connect to approve the activation configuration request.

**To approve the activation configuration request you have created:**

1. Log in Manufacturing Connect. The *Status Overview* pane by default appears.
2. From the Navigation panel, select **Edge Management**. *Edge Management* pane appears with the *Edge Devices* tab by default appears. 
3. Select the **Activation Requests** tab. The *Status *field of the request you have submitted shows "Activation request received".
4. Click the **Action** **Menu** icon next to the activation request you have created from earlier, and then select **Approve**. The status changes to "Approved." For more information, see the *Approve *option of [Manage Device Requests](docId:1My5smO11Js3PHAt_6r5e). The status for the activation changes. The first (left) green checkmark is for the activation stage, and indicates that the activation sequence have been received, approved and confirmed. The second (right) green checkmark is for the provision stage and indicates that the offline license have been generated, provisioned to the Manufacturing Connect Edge instance, and the default password policy is also provisioned to the Manufacturing Connect instance.
