the edge remote module allows you to remotely connect your edge devices to the default or added networks you can view additional information about the networks status, bandwidth and peers you can also set the maximum transmission unit (mtu) of the network interface the edge remote module includes three sub modules networks the edge remote networks pane includes two sections network contains a list of edge remote networks, including a default network you can add a network, modify a network, set a network as default, and remove a network peers contains a list of network with a certain number of peers you can change the network statistics the edge remote network statistics pane includes network view the edge remote network status, the number of networks, the number of peers, and the percentage of networks online networks bandwidth view the amount of data transmitted for the connected networks in mbps network peers view the connected peers that are connected edged devices in another project settings (version 2 11 0 and later) the edge remote settings pane includes mtu configure the maximum transmission unit (mtu) value of the network interface access edge remote ui to below is for manufacturing connect version 2 11 0 and later from the settings pane in the edge remote module, you can set and configure the value of the maximum transmission unit (mtu) of the network interface the mtu is the maximum size of a data packet that can be transmitted over a network interface without fragmentation this value configures the manufacturing connect (mc)'s connection to a manufacturing connect edge (mce) device and can be used to address some potential network issues between the mc and a mce the default value is 1280 and can be set to a value between 1280 to 1500
