Enhancements and Improvements

Description

System:

  • You now have the option to set up OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication and add Workload Identity Federation as a method of authentication when provisioning the Google Pub/Sub connector during initial setup of Manufacturing Connect.

Admin Console Settings:

  • In Cloud settings:
    • When configuring Cloud Credentials, you now have the option of configuring GCP Workload identity federation (OIDC) for authorization.
    • During account service key rotation, mpc-sync service account keys are also rotated as well.
  • In Domain/SSL settings:
    • The Let's Encrypt Webroot mode option is now available.
    • the SSL Settings log now displays more information for update operations in SSL settings.
  • In Email settings, when the Enable SMTP toggle is disabled, any existing SMTP settings are now removed.

Cloud Management:

  • The following items have been added to real-time metrics:
    • Tag-received rate for the last minute, 5 minutes, and last hour
    • The last 10 values received

Support:

  • The build version of Manufacturing Connect is now included in support bundle files.

Edge Devices:

  • When the Manufacturing Connect base-domain name is updated, respective activation URLs for Edge devices are automatically updated based on the new domain name.
  • Upgrades are now restricted to VM-based Edge devices. Upgrades on Docker-based Edge devices are not allowed.
  • The Nginx limit for the activation endpoint of 10 rps (requests per second) is now removed, allowing for more Edge devices to be processed at one time.

Templates:

  • Templates for Edge devices are now included in Manufacturing Connect backups. If a Manufacturing Connect backup is restored, Edge device templates are also restored.

Resolved Issues

Description

Templates:

  • Fixed issue with duplicate template names being allowed. Template names must now be unique.

Software Updates:

  • Fixed issue with upgrades through update files failing because of insufficient disk space. 

Storage Settings:

  • Fixed issue with features not working properly after switching between local and cloud storage.

Alerts:

  • Fixed issue with not being able to set the Verify SSL setting to false.

Security:

  • Multiple vulnerabilities have been resolved as part of this release.

User Interface:

  • Fixed issue with the user interface loading before Keycloak is ready to run.

Support:

  • Fixed issue with no such directory errors during support bundle generation.

Integration:

  • Fixed issue with data (OMA and RAW) from multiple projects not being successfully loaded into tables (dev_parent_pretty_name columns) in Tabix.

Edge Management:

  • Fixed issue with unsuccessfully trying to create a backup for an edge device.

Upgrade:

  • Fixed issue with the Upload UPD dialog not closing after a successful upload.

Admin:

  • Fixed issue with the Admin user interface not successfully downloading keycloak JWKS.

Applications:

  • Fixed issue with an empty list displaying after filtering the list of applications by catalog.

Tokens:

  • Fixed issue with not all associated projects being automatically selected when you select [Company name] [All projects].

Data Lifecycle:

  • Fixed issue with charts causing text to be cut off.
