To set up and configure this device in Manufacturing Connect Edge, you will need to do the following:
- Step 1: Set up and Configure the PLC Device
- Step 2: Set up the PLC Device in Manufacturing Connect Edge DeviceHub
- Step 3: Configure the List of Registers
If the device is configured for Ethernet access, find its network parameters. Otherwise, follow the steps below.
To configure your device:
Note down the following information and refer to it when needed. Device: VIPA CPU 315-4NE12 Communication I/F: Ethernet. Refer to the following figure.
- Launch Primary Setting Tool and set up Set PG/PC interface to use the network adapter.
- Browse the devices in the subnet and set up the network parameters for the device, and then download into the device.
- Launch SIMATIC Manager and configure HW Config.
- From the project, select CPU318-2 DP as the CPU module with two CP 343-1 modules.
- In NetPro, set up Set PG/PC Interface and use the adapter in the same subnet with the device.
- Double-click the module icon and set up the network parameters.
- Download the setting into the device.
- Open the OB1 block and make connection with the device.
