Activate an Edge Device

A Manufacturing Connect Edge Device must be first activated by a Manufacturing Connect instance before it can be managed. You will initiate activation of the Manufacturing Connect Edge devices from the Edge Management pane in Manufacturing Connect.

This process includes the following steps:

Step 1: Create an Activation Configuration in Manufacturing Connect (with Example)

Step 2: Create an Activation Request in Manufacturing Connect Edge

Step 3: Approve the Activation Request in Manufacturing Connect

Step 4: Verify Edge Device Activation in Manufacturing Connect Edge

Step 5: Enable the Default Integration Connector

Step 6: Verify Edge Device Activation in Manufacturing Connect
