Example: Create a Basic Activation Configuration

To create a basic configuration:

  1. Log in Manufacturing Connect. The Status Overview pane by default appears.
  2. From the Navigation panel, select Edge Management. Edge Management pane (Doappears with the Edge Devices tab by default appears.
  3. Select the Activation Configs tab.

  4. Click the New (+) icon on the tab toolbar. The New page opens.

  5. (Optional) Customize the following characteristics according to your requirements. For more information, refer to Step 1-4 of Set Up an Activation Config.
    • Limits
      • Number of edge devices
      • Lease TTL
      • Expiration Date
    • Templates
    • Template Variables
    • Provision Options
  6. Click Save. The activation configuration you have created is saved. For site-based licenses, the edge device activation code appears in the Activation Code field of the Activation Code section.
  7. Copy aside the Activation URL and Activation Code values.
