Edge Devices
Note: The LTS release 2.22.0 is compatible with both MDE 1.3.x and 1.4.x.
Once you Activate an Edge Device from Manufacturing Connect, you can do the following from the Edge Devices tab:
- View details such as the device ID (UUID) and data/control status for each device
- View metrics
- Deactivate or delete a device
- Open the edge device UI in a new browser tab
- View edge devices that have expired licenses
To access the Edge Device UI:
- Log in to Manufacturing Connect. The Status Overview pane by default appears.
- From the Navigation panel, select Edge Management. Edge Management pane appears, by default the Edge Devices tab displays.
Refer to the following actions you can take on the Edge Management > Edge Devices tab. The user interface below is for Manufacturing Connect version 2.10.0 and later.

[1] Show child devices | Before a child device can be viewed, that child device's tag must be added or imported to the Default Generic MQTT SSL connector in the child's parent Manufacturing Connect Edge instance. [2] View Edge Device Details | Provides comprehensive information about the selected edge device. |
[3] Open Edge Devices | Launches the user interface of the selected edge device. |
[4] View Edge Metrics | Displays performance metrics related to the selected edge device. |
[5] View Data and Control Status | Shows the current data and control connectivity status for the edge device. |

[7] Open filter | Search by Id / Name, Friendly Name, or Version. |
[8] Multi-Select Mode | Use this feature to group several devices at the same time. |
[9] Refresh device list | Updates the device list. |
[10] Advanced Filter | Provides enhanced filtering options for more refined device searches. |
[11] Activation | Option to activate the device connection. |
Note: If the child device's tag is removed from the Default Generic MQTT SSL connector, the child device is not deleted from the list of available child devices and will still be displayed.
