Software Update

Note: The LTS release 2.22.0 is compatible with both MDE 1.3.x and 1.4.x.

The Software Update tab includes a list of runnable tasks for Edge devices. This tab also contains a Current (#) tab to view PENDING or RUNNING tasks and a History (#) tab to view COMPLETED or ERROR (failed) tasks.

You can add a software task, run a task, or view info about current and previous task.

Note: Software packages are added from the Images module in the Manufacturing Connect Admin Console. See Images.

Single or multiple tasks can be scheduled for edge devices. You can use user-defined commands that can be scheduled to be executed. You can restart and update Manufacturing Connect Edge software.

Access Software UI

To access the software UI:

  1. Log in to Manufacturing Connect. The Status Overview pane by default appears.
  2. From the Navigation panel, select Edge Management. The Edge Management pane appears. The Edge Devices tab displays by default.
  3. From the Edge Management pane, select Software Update. The Software Update tab appears.
